YUG: a Change of an era – good or bad?

We all know that a YUG means a decade.
Today, in era of globalization, a new age of mankind is emerging, calling the end of the old era, which was a little bit weak, poor, techno-free, having limited accessibility, yet was much simpler, relaxing, & most importantly having a proper place of human sentiments.

A era which has seen people way back, starting from Indian Politics & Freedom fighters i.e.. Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra bose, Chandra Shekhar Azaad, Bhagat Singh to Classical Actors like Prithvi Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Gurudutt, Madhubala, Rajendra Kumar, Dharmendra, Mala Sinha to rural farmers & people of India.
I call it the Golden era
.
Because, the life was much simple, easy & beautiful. People were not having Gadgets, Internet, & other technology in their kit to have access to the whole world. No doubt these things are made in order to make our life simpler, better & convenient, but yet if you analyze the whole thing, life became more complex, fast & people are not having the time for their families.
But the most important change comes in Human mindset. From a sensitive kind & simple heart it became shrewd, selfish & demandable heart.

Way back, much earlier than what I have mentioned above, feel very proud to say that we were the first to have the very sacred Guru- Shishya parampara
, where a Guru was someone whose value was considered more than the God. That’s why you might heard of the phrase:

Guru Gobind dono khade, kage lagoon paanv,
Balihaari guru aapki gobind diyo sahaya

Which says that earlier, people used to put Guru in place of God. That was true because at that time Guru’s were not be having their own motive to teach them, they were doing it because it makes them feel happy or because it was there karma to spread the knowledge among masses. But now neither you will find that sort of Guru’s nor the Shishya’s. [like one ideal example of Eklavya & his guru Dronacharya]

Where earlier people want to change India for the betterment of the society & thus wants freedom & civilians were ready for dying for the nation, where people respect the sentiments of other, today, everyone thinks about themselves. People became more career- oriented & so called practical in their life. Here the lines that are coming to my mind are:
Yug badla badla Hindustan,
Kal tak desh pe marta tha jo,
Pyaar desh se karta tha jo,
Apne liye hi jeene laga kyun
Aaj ke yug ka har insaan…
Yug badla badla Hindustan

But, they don’t know, the real fun, happiness & sukoon lies in the old world, which however not going to come back again. That was passé, all credit goes to basic principle of time, which says that time once gone, never comes back, & therefore is precious.

I still used to watch old hindi films, which gave me immense pleasure & soothe my nerves. All I used to think is people at that time were so simple, beautiful & genuine that you will not going to find now very frequently today. Therefore, we need to capture every single moment if possible, of our life, because what is new for you today will be the thing of past in future. So live your life to the fullest & make it memorable. Because “Old is still Gold”.
